Anna Wątróbska-Wdowiarska

Anna Wątróbska-Wdowiarska was born in 1960. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1981 to 1987. She specialized in medallic art under the guidance of Professor Zofia Demkowska and completed her diploma under the supervision of Professor Stanisław Słonina. Her diploma work was awarded the Marian Wnuk Medal. The artist is a member of the International Federation of Medallic Art (FIDEM) and the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP).

For the past 20 years, Anna Wątróbska-Wdowiarska has collaborated with the Polish Mint SA and the National Bank of Poland, for whom she has created a series of coins commemorating the Smolensk tragedy (a gold coin featuring portraits of Maria and Lech Kaczyński), and currently, she is working on a series of coins featuring portraits of Polish kings based on medals commissioned by Stanisław August Poniatowski.

Medals created by Anna Wątróbska-Wdowiarska are held in collections both abroad and in Poland. In her artistic career, she has produced over two hundred medal designs. In her creative work, the artist does not limit herself solely to flat reliefs. She also simultaneously creates spatial sculptures, ranging from small forms to monuments.
