Iwo Birkenmajer
Iwo Birkenmajer was born in 1955, lives in Krakow. He is a painter, pastel artist, draftsman, sculptor and poet. He studied classical philosophy at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, as well as conservation of monuments at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Since 1995, he has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists.
He has been awarded in many Polish and foreign competitions, including in XIX, XX and XXIV Premio Firenze in Florence), as well as at exhibitions such as "Small Format 2013" and "Small Format 2014" of the Krakow District ZPAP. In the 2017 edition of this exhibition he won the first prize - "Golden Frame". In 2005 he was honored with the award of the Minister of Culture and Arts.
The artist presented his work in our country and many others: in Italy, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Croatia, Austria and the USA. He participated in over two hundred collective and individual exhibitions, and his works are in many private collections and art galleries.
